School Elections

School elections are conducted by the chief electoral officer of Yukon under the Education Act.



School Elections - Monday, May 5, 2014


The general election of school councils will take place this year.

Nomination papers will be available at the Elections Office and from school offices starting Monday, April 14, 2014. Nomination papers must be filed with the returning officer for the school before noon on nomination day.


Nomination Day is Thursday, April 24, 2014.


Polling Day is Monday, May 5, 2014.

An elector must be on polling day:

An elector voting for members of school councils for Christ the King Elementary, Holy Family and Vanier Catholic Secondary Schools must also be recognized by the Catholic Episcopal Corporation.
